2010 Results

Well done everybody! 16th May 2010 marked our biggest ever event, with 971 runners crossing the line at the Hook Schools site.

This year we had a scrutineer from BARR for first time, who rode with the lead van and observed us at close quarters in the interests of trying to help us improve the event. Whilst we didn’t see any course records broken in 2010, Toby Lambert equalled his 10 mile record with an amazing time of 50 minutes 46 seconds – a good four and a half minutes ahead of the second placed runner at that distance.

Turning out to run on a grey May day is a huge achievement, whether you’re running in any of the races, marshalling out on the course, or supporting your loved ones as they strive to improve on their personal best or simply to complete the course in one piece and with a smile on their face. Thank you to everyone who helped out in any capacity, we truly couldn’t do it without you.

The Mary Dearlove trophy for the oldest competitor to cross the finish line in any event was awarded again to Arthur Bundy, who turned 80 this year. Congratulations Arthur!
