EVENT ORGANISATION AND TERMS AND CONDITIONS
By entering the race, you agree to accept these terms and conditions and abide by the rules of UK Athletics https://uka.org.uk/competitions/rules/
By entering the Hook Fun Run & Road Races, you agree that the Event Organisers may publish your personal information – this may include, but is not limited to, your name/club/age group/finish time, as part of the results of the event and may pass such information to the governing body or any affiliated organisation for the purpose of insurance, licences and for publishing results for the event alone or combined with or compared to other events.
By entering the race, you give permission for the free use of your name, voice or picture in any photographs, videotapes, motion pictures, website images, recordings or any other record of the event.
Age Limit: Participants in the 10k distance must be 15 years or over on race day. Participants in the 10 mile distance must be 17 years or over on the race day. As per UKA rules. Participants in the fun run must be 5 years or over on the race day. Any under 8 year olds must be accompanied by a paying adult.
Personal Health: It is your responsibility to make sure you are medically fit and capable of running your chosen distance. All participants are strongly advised to consult with their doctor prior to undertaking any exercise programme.
Medical Details: By entering this event, you agree to complete personal and medical information on the back of your race number and that this information can be passed to and used by the medical teams operating on the day.
UKA Anti-Doping Rules: An entrant shall be deemed to have made him/herself/their self, familiar with, and agreed to be bound by the UKA Anti-Doping Rules and to submit to the authority of UK Anti-Doping in the application and enforcement of the Anti-Doping Rules.
The UKA Anti-Doping Rules apply to entrants participating in the sport of Athletics, for 12 months from the date of entry, whether or not the licence holder is a citizen of, or resident in, the UK.
Change of personal details: Should your postal address, email address or telephone number change after you have entered the race, you can amend your entry online via FR Systems (www.entryhub.co.uk) using the password you were sent in the email receipt when you entered the race. It is your responsibility to make sure your details are correct and up to date.
Race Number Switching: You must not, under any circumstances, give your race number to anyone else. Doing so may cause problems of identification for the event medical services in the case of accident or another medical condition/emergency.
Time Limit: All competitors in the 10 mile distance must be able to complete the course in less than 2 hours (12 minute mile pace).
Other modes of transport/pets: For reasons of safety, no bicycles, roller skates, skateboards, scooters, stilts, dogs or other pets, or any vehicles, are allowed to participate or accompany runners, except for registered guide dogs, in the 10k and 10 mile distances. Pushchairs / strollers are allowed in the Fun Run but must start at the back of the group.
Please contact the event organisers if you are a partially sighted runner and will be running with a guide.

Data Protection: The Hook Fun Run & Road Races complies with the Data Protection Act 2018 and you have the right of access to your personal records held on our or our entry administrator’s computer system. If you do not want your name made available to our sponsors, please contact the event organisers.
Online entries will close at midnight on 15th Thursday May 2025, unless the entry limit is reached earlier – we advise early entry as we cannot guarantee places will be available up to the closing date. Race numbers will start to be sent out from Monday 5th May 2025.
