The course
Our 10-milers are in for a scenic treat with a new route around the local countryside. After leaving the cheering crowds behind at the start in Hartletts Park, the 10-mile route takes a tour of Hook via Oak Tree Drive and Birch Grove to Wellworth Park and onto Hazel Coppice.
A left to Alderwood Drive, followed by a right turn at Reading Road leads runners onto the B3349 and towards the picturesque village of Rotherwick.
A right-hand turn on Frog Lane take runners through the new undulating, looped section at Lyde Green and Hartley Wespall. It then heads back onto Frog Lane to pass Tylney Park Golf Club for an uphill stretch past beautiful Tylney Hall.
At the crossroads a left turn leads athletes to the War Memorial and back onto the A30 through the centre of Hook to the finishing tunnel and the atmospheric Hartletts Park.
There will be four water stations around the course, indicated on the map below.
